The Boone County Health Center Sterling Connection offers a range of services to members:
We know that staying healthy is a big concern, so we offer a variety of educational seminars presented by physicians and other professionals. Educational offerings include estate planning and updates on Medicare. A number of seminars have been recorded by BryanLGH and are available to view on the BryanLGH video archive webpage. Be sure to watch the BCHC Sterling Connection Update for seminars held in the Albion area.
Join other Sterling Connection members for health fairs and fun, entertaining Summer socials or Holiday Socials when available. Other events may be scheduled as available. Watch the BCHC Sterling Connection Update for any details.
You can travel near and far on trips planned for members of Sterling Connection, their relatives and friends. This is a great way to meet other Sterling Connection members and make new friends. Trips range from one day to two weeks.
Senior Center Meals
Good nutrition is essential for complete recovery, so if you were a patient at BCHC you will receive two vouchers in the mail after your dismissal for two free meals at the Albion Senior Center or a Senior Center in one of our neighboring towns.
The healthcare industry is continually changing. To keep you up-to-date, you will receive BryanLGH’s Journeys magazine quarterly. It includes articles on health, information on schedules for educational seminars, and much more.
A Notary Public is available through the Health Center. For details call 402-395-2191.
Advance Directives such as a living will or a durable power of attorney for healthcare will assist your family in knowing what your wishes are during an illness if you are unable to speak for yourself. Free Advance Directive forms are available at the hospital front desk receptionist, or call Sara Francis at 402-395-3162.
