BCHC Again Earns Five-Star Patient Experience Rating from CMS

Albion, NE (Sept. 2, 2026) — Boone County Health Center (BCHC) has once again earned a five-star patient experience rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), marking the fifth time BCHC has received this prestigious recognition.

The latest CMS data places BCHC among just 250 hospitals nationwide to receive the highest possible patient experience rating, highlighting the exceptional care and experience reported by patients.

The rating is based on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey, which gathers feedback directly from patients about their hospital experience. The latest data reflects surveys collected from Oct. 1, 2024, through Sept. 30, 2025.

Earning five stars is a significant achievement and one that only a select number of hospitals across the country receive. For BCHC, the recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the voices of the patients and families the hospital serves.

The HCAHPS survey measures key aspects of the patient experience, including communication with nurses and doctors, responsiveness of staff, communication about medicines and discharge, care transitions, and patients’ overall ratings of the hospital.
