Albion, NE (May 18, 2026) –The Boone County Health Center Foundation is inviting community members to hit the golf course this summer in support of a meaningful local cause through the 2026 “Mental Health Heroes Classic” golf outings.
Three community golf events are planned to help raise funds supporting the Behavioral Health Assistance Fund, a local initiative focused on helping reduce financial barriers for individuals seeking behavioral health-related care within Boone County Health Center’s service area.
The first outing will take place on Friday, June 19 in Fullerton. Additional outings will be held in Albion on Friday, July 17 and Saturday, July 18, giving golfers the opportunity to participate on either day. All tournaments will feature four-person teams in a scramble format, with registration beginning at 8 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
The entry fee includes golf, a golfer gift, light breakfast, and grab-and-go lunch. Participants can also look forward to flight payouts, top-notch flag prizes, hole prizes, and a variety of fun activities throughout the day.
“There’s something special about communities coming together for a good cause,” said Sarah Grape, Boone County Health Center Foundation Director. “These outings are designed to be fun and impactful while helping support individuals and families right here in our area.”
Multiple sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses, organizations, and individuals interested in supporting the event. Team spots will not be reserved until payment is received.
Funds raised through the Mental Health Heroes Classic will support the Behavioral Health Assistance Fund, helping local individuals access needed behavioral health services and support.
Questions regarding registration or sponsorship opportunities can be directed to Sarah Grape.
Additional event details and registration information will be shared through the health center’s website and social media channels.
