BCHC Recognized Among Nebraska’s Best for Physician Communication

Albion, NE (July 22, 2026)- Boone County Health Center (BCHC) has once again earned national recognition for the exceptional care its physicians provide, being named one of Nebraska’s top hospitals for physician communication by Becker’s Hospital Review.
The recognition is based on Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey data collected by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) from patients treated between July 2024 and June 2025. The physician communication rating reflects how well patients felt their physicians listened carefully, explained information in a way they could understand, and treated them with courtesy and respect.
Only nine hospitals in Nebraska received the prestigious five-star physician communication rating, placing BCHC among an elite group recognized for delivering an outstanding patient experience.

The five-star rating is based on three key patient survey questions that evaluate physician communication during a hospital stay. Nationwide, just 208 hospitals earned five stars in 2025, down from 394 hospitals in 2023, making the distinction even more significant.
