
Dr. Mawn, New ENT to BCHC Specialty Clinic

ALBION, NE – (March 18, 2026) – Boone County Health Center (BCHC) is pleased to welcome Dr. Mawn, an ear, nose and throat (ENT) specialist with the Columbus Otolaryngology Clinic, who will begin seeing patients at the BCHC Specialty Clinic on the first and third Friday of each month.
Dr. Mawn joined the team at Columbus Otolaryngology Clinic in 2025 and brings extensive experience in otolaryngology and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. At BCHC, he will replace Amber Citta, APRN.
Dr. Mawn earned his Bachelor of Science in microbiology from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. He received his medical degree from The Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. Following medical school, he completed a surgical internship at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia.
He later received certification in hyperbaric technology, diving, submarine and radiation health from the Naval Undersea Medical Institute in Groton, Connecticut. Dr. Mawn also completed an otolaryngology residency at Bethesda Naval Medical Center and Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Throughout his career, Dr. Mawn has held several leadership roles, including serving as department head of otolaryngology.
Dr. Mawn is a member of the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Board of Otolaryngology, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Mawn practices alongside Dr. Jazwick at Columbus Otolaryngology Clinic. Both physicians will continue providing services to BCHC patients on the first and third Friday of each month through the Otolaryngology clinic.
