ALBION, Nebraska (Sept 9, 2024) – Boone County Health Center (BCHC) has been named one of the cleanest hospitals in the United States by Becker’s Hospital Review. Among 350 hospitals nationwide, BCHC earned a 5-star rating for cleanliness, placing it among just nine hospitals in Nebraska to receive this prestigious recognition.

The ranking is based on data from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) surveys, a national, standardized tool that gathers feedback from patients about their experiences during recent inpatient hospital stays. The surveys, collected between October 2022 and September 2023, emphasize patient satisfaction and were last updated on July 31.

“With BCHC’s additions which increased the overall square footage, Deja Ortiz, Environmental Services Supervisor, and her team have done an amazing job in all of their areas. They take ownership and pride in their work and understand the importance of a clean environment for the safety and well-being of our patients,” said Jeanne Temme, Vice President of Corporate Compliance and Risk Management.

This achievement underscores BCHC’s commitment to providing exceptional care in a safe and clean environment, reinforcing its status as a top critical access hospital in Nebraska.
