Health Center Amps Up Security

As the nation heals from recent shootings, Boone County Health Center (BCHC) is making an extra effort to keep patients and staff safe.
Security cameras, funded in part by a grant from the Wesley and Irene Mansfield Charitable Foundation, have been placed strategically throughout the building, parking lots and entrances.
“We always want our patients and staff to feel safe,” said Safety Officer Geoff McGill. “Thanks to the Wesley and Irene Mansfield Charitable Foundation, these security cameras will allow us to make new safety policies we couldn’t have made before.”
The security cameras provide a security system that is watched 24/7. If a threat occurs, the police can be called more quickly and the building can be locked down much faster. Parking lots and entrances are also safer with cameras to spot threats sooner.
The new security cameras were purchased and set up by local business Applied Connective Technologies.
