Hospital Awarded High Ranking

By: Boone County Health Center

Medicare.gov has rated Boone County Health Center (BCHC) a Top Hospital in Nebraska with a 4-Star Rating.

“These star ratings help patients compare hospitals, so they can receive the best care,” said BCHC President and CEO Tanya Sharp. “I am proud we can offer patients such high-ranking healthcare close to home.”

The Star Rating is based on patient surveys. Medicare asks patients about communication with nurses and doctors, the responsiveness of hospital staff, pain management, discharge information, care transitions, communication about medicines, and cleanliness and quietness of the hospital.

Then Medicare compares the survey results between hospitals and assigns a star rating. BCHC has the highest Star Rating for a Critical Access Hospital within a 50-mile radius of Albion.
