Kurtenbach Replaces Choat on Hospital Board

Boone County Health Center is excited to announce Tony Kurtenbach will be the new Board member replacing Jody Stodola-Choat upon completion of her term at the end of June. Stodola-Choat has been on the Hospital Board for 12 years.

“It has been a privilege to serve on the Boone County Health Center Board and to work with so many people who are dedicated to improving the health of our communities. We are fortunate to have exceptional health care at the hospital and surrounding clinics in our rural area,” said Stodola-Choat.

The Board meets monthly to guide operations at Boone County Health Center and is responsible for helping to set the vision and mission of the Health Center. Their primary focus is to further Boone County Health Center’s mission of being Dedicated. Caring. Here. with quality health care for rural patients.

“Jody has been a valuable member of our Board for many years, and we wanted her replacement to be someone from the Saint Edward area to maintain regional representation across Boone County,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Tanya Sharp. “Tony will be the perfect addition to our Board with his business education and commitment to quality rural health care.”

Kurtenbach and his wife Alida have two daughters and make their home outside Saint Edward. A graduated of Lindsay Holy Family, Kurtenbach earned a degree in Business Administration from Nebraska Wesleyan University. He works for Bayer Crop Science and is a member of the Boone County Development Agency, Saint Edward Development Company, the local non-profit Farm 4 A Cure, Knights of Columbus and Saint Edward Catholic Church. In his spare time, Kurtenbach enjoys spending time with family, taking his girls to their activities and helping on the family farm operation.

“I am excited to work with a great Board that is focused on continuing the mission of providing quality rural health care. I am looking forward to supporting the progression of rural health care by continuing to have Boone County Health Center be a leader in providing the highest quality of health care in our communities,” said Kurtenbach.

Kurtenbach will begin his term on July 1. Other Boone County Health Center Board Members include Chairman Don Casper, Vice Chairman Paul Groeteke, Secretary Ken Schmitz, and Kim Beierman.
