Laboratory

The Boone County Health Center’s Laboratory is committed to providing accurate and timely test reporting. There is a large test menu and many of the tests are performed locally to provide the most expedient turnaround time possible for improved diagnosis and treatment.

Our laboratory offers a wide range of services to meet your healthcare needs, including the following and much more:

• A comprehensive microbiology department including PCR and traditional bacteriology
• Transfusion services
• Anti-coagulation therapy monitoring
• Hematology
• Urinalysis

The onsite laboratory serves the hospital and its five satellite clinics. It’s also a reference laboratory for five local nursing homes, providing them with accurate and timely results.

Laboratory staff includes Registered Clinical Laboratory Scientists, Technicians, and Phlebotomists who are available 24/7. The Health Center’s Laboratory is proud to be an integral member of the healthcare team.
