ALBION, Nebraska (July 31, 2024) – Boone County Health Center (BCHC) proudly announces the addition of Rita Robinson to the BCHC Foundation Board. With extensive experience and dedication, Rita is a valuable asset. A Cedar Rapids resident, Rita was born and raised in Greeley, NE. She is married to Bill Robinson, a farmer and cattle feeder. They have two children, Ryan and Erica.
Rita’s professional background includes a 15-year tenure as Clerk/Treasurer for the Village of Cedar Rapids. Her role in local government has equipped her with the skills and knowledge to contribute effectively to the Boone County Health Center Foundation Board.
Rita has been a longtime beneficiary of the services provided by Boone County Health Center. “I have utilized the services here for many years. I continue to be impressed by the growth of the facility and services. I have confidence in the providers and departments,” Rita shares. Her firsthand experience with the Health Center’s diagnostic testing and therapy services highlights the convenience and efficiency they offer to the local community.
Looking forward, Rita is excited about the continued advancements at Boone County Health Center. She appreciates the addition of specialty services and envisions further enhancements over the next decade. She emphasizes the importance of maintaining state-of-the-art equipment and knowledgeable, caring medical staff, ensuring that Boone County Health Center remains a top choice for healthcare in the region.
Rita acknowledges the financial challenges faced by rural health centers. “I would imagine the expense of running the facility is very high. Medical costs continue to skyrocket, and it must be very expensive to continue to purchase modern equipment,” she notes. Her insights and experience will be invaluable as the Board navigates these challenges.
Rita’s connection to Boone County Health Center is personal. “Our primary care physicians are here. I have been admitted to the ER, utilized PT, and had many tests performed there. My husband has had testing done there as well. Two of our grandchildren were born here. I am very comfortable with the care and services provided,” she says, underscoring the essential role the Health Center plays in her family’s health and well-being.
The BCHC Foundation Board is dedicated to supporting the Health Center’s mission through fundraising and community outreach. Board members play a crucial role in securing financial resources to ensure the continuous improvement of services offered by BCHC.
