
BCHC Welcomes Griffin to Behavioral Health Team

Albion, NE (February 26, 2025) – Boone County Health Center (BCHC) welcomes Melissa Griffin, LIMHP, LADC, to its Behavioral Health team. Melissa, a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, will be available Monday through Friday to provide vital mental health services to the Albion community and surrounding areas.
Originally from Firth, Nebraska, Melissa now resides in Fullerton. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s degree in Community Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. With a deep passion for helping people become the best version of themselves, she brings a wealth of experience and dedication to BCHC.
“I’m excited to serve the community and help meet the growing mental health needs of patients,” said Melissa. “Boone County Health Center has a strong reputation for providing compassionate, patient-centered care, and I look forward to being part of this team.”
“We are thrilled to add Melissa to our Behavioral Health team,” said Kayla Baker, Director of Behavioral Health Services at BCHC. “Mental health care is essential to overall well-being, and her experience and expertise will enhance the services we offer to our patients.”
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys reading and attending her children’s activities. She and her husband, Eric, have three children: Tyler (19), Hunter (18), and Kora (9).
